Oenothera fruticosa, or Narrow-Leaved Sundrops, is an erect, herbaceous plant, native to much of eastern North America. It grows to about 2-9 decimeters (about 10" to nearly 3') tall, with alternative, lanceolate leaves. A nice, bright yellow flower for the sunny border.
It is one of the most beautiful yellow flowers around, although its bloom period is relatively short (2 -3 weeks).
